My life in the web world began in late 2010, taking a course at BCIT on design and development. I quickly realised that I had found my passion, and so I soaked up all I could until I graduated with a distinction in October of 2011. Almost two years later and I’m still doing what I love.
Following a stint of freelancing, I joined Forge and Smith, a WordPress development agency in August 2012 as resident bug fixer. Since then my role has developed (no pun intended) to incorporate theme and CSS development. This suits me more than just fine as styling sites is my favourite role in a site build process.
To say I’ve traveled a lot in my life would be an understatement. Born in Canada, I was raised in the UK and many summer and Christmas holidays were spent flying between the two. I’ve lived in many places, from London to Inverness to Chester, but most recently I’m back in my hometown of Vancouver.
When not working you can find me strumming my guitar, brewing beer, reading or on ski slopes (probably in Sun Peaks). You’re also likely to find me at a Vancouver WordPress meetup, or simply around Vancouver itself. It’s a incredibly city.
Oh, and one last thing. I’m very fond of hedgehogs.
